The book LECTURES ON THE HISTORY OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH examines the most important stages of the two-thousand-year history of Christianity in the West and in the East, in more detail – the history of the Russian Orthodox Church from 988 to 2000. Much attention is paid to the history of the formation of the Christian Church in the 4th century, and a description of dogmatic teaching is given and the internal life of the Church, portraits of the most prominent church figures throughout its history from the Fathers of the Church are presented to the Russian new martyrs of the 20th century. In the third edition, the book is supplemented with material on the new and recent history of the Church.
