The publication discusses modern progressive methods for producing dentures using 3D technologies. The technical and methodological information necessary for the development and subsequent application of the technology of three-dimensional printing of dentures in the practice of dental clinics and dental research and practice centers is presented in detail and systematically. The process of dental prosthetics using 3D technologies comes down to the non-contact creation of a three-dimensional copy of the patient’s mouth (scanning), computer modeling of the future denture and subsequent 3D printing of the prosthesis itself. The prosthetic process takes a few hours. The monograph examines in detail the classification of 3D printing methods, their advantages and disadvantages, and features of practical application. An analysis of the properties and characteristics of the main and auxiliary consumables for three-dimensional printing is provided. Technologies for the formation of 3D objects using milling and machine technologies, gas, plasma, waterjet, and laser cutting installations of the source material are described. Information on display media and printers for 3D printing has been systematized. The issues of software support for the 3D printing process and application software packages are discussed in detail. The processes of automated organization of work for the manufacture of dentures, as well as practical techniques for using 3D printing in orthopedic dentistry, are outlined in examples.
