The 4th volume of the “Sathya Sai Speaks” series includes 52 conversations of Sathya Sai Baba, which he conducted in 1964. Swami called his lectures not speeches, but conversations, and interspersed the great sayings of the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and other holy texts with fascinating life stories, songs, parables, epic legends and mythological subjects. Sathya Sai says: when the barriers to truth are broken down, you come to liberation. That is why liberation (moksha) is something that can be achieved here and now: there is no need to wait until the bodily shell disintegrates. Action should not feel like a burden, and a sure sign of this is the feeling that you are swimming “not against the flow.” An action that helps you move forward will never weigh heavily on you. Otherwise, the hour will come when you will look back and with a sigh realize the futility of your earthly achievements. Before it’s too late, entrust your mind to God and let Him “sculpt” it as He pleases.
