Диссертация не была ни защищена, ни опубликована: исследователь умер в блокадном Ленинграде. Текст Пульнера дополняют статьи, посвященные этому исследователю и истории создания его диссертации — Д. Jewish wedding ceremonies I. Pulner’s dissertation “Wedding rites among Jews” (1940) is an extensive collection of field ethnographic materials. The dissertation was neither defended nor published: the researcher died in besieged Leningrad. Pulner’s text is supplemented by articles dedicated to this researcher and the history of the creation of his dissertation – D. Yalen “Scientific biography of I. Pulner” and A. Ivanov “Collected documents of I. Pulner in the Russian Ethnographic Museum”, as well as a musicological study by E. Khazdan “Ashkenazi Music weddings: terra incognita” and the ethnographic article by V. Dymshits “Wedding rituals among the Jews of Podolia and Bessarabia”, based on materials from modern expeditions.
