This book is based on the lectures given on the Eighth Canto of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, in which the second and third chapters are about an elephant who was able to remember his past lives and realized his nature. The second chapter tells that in the middle of the Ocean of Milk there is a high and very beautiful mountain 130,000 kilometers high. It is called Trikuta. In one of the valleys at its foot lies the beautiful garden Ritumat, laid out by the demigod Varu-na, and in it there is a lake of wondrous beauty. One day, the leader of the elephants and his wives went to swim in this lake. But their fun swimming disturbed the inhabitants of the lake. This angered a huge crocodile living in the lake, which was distinguished by its incredible strength. Angry, he attacked the elephant and grabbed its leg. Thus began the great battle between the elephant and the crocodile, which lasted a thousand years. Neither of them died, but as they struggled in the water, the elephant’s strength waned and the crocodile grew stronger. As the fight progressed, his rage only increased. The elephant, seeing that nothing and no one could help him, began to seek salvation in spiritual practice, which is very unusual for a simple elephant. So what is the secret of this amazing story?
