The second issue of Ed Piskor’s “Hip-Hop Bloodline” is dedicated to the race that unfolded between several businessmen, promoters, shady characters and hip-hop groups who sought to be the first to record the first hip-hop record. On the cover of the second issue is a member of the SugarHillGang group, which is considered to be the first to record a rap record.
