“Courage” is a book by Irina Ivanovna Iroshnikova, published in 1971 in the “Library of a Young Patriot” series. Plot: old security officer Vasily Dmitrievich Avdeev, on instructions from the command, led a parachute landing sent to the enemy rear, to Odessa. In conditions of terror and continuous surveillance, Avdeev and his group manage to find scattered cells of underground struggle in Odessa, create combat partisan units, and turn them into a formidable force for the invaders.
