It covers in detail the history of the creation of the first endoscopes, their evolution, the introduction of the videoendoscopy method into neurosurgical practice and the beginning of endoscopic surgery for stroke hematomas. The authors paid special attention to the selection of patients for surgical treatment and the features of surgical tactics that ensure the best results. Separate chapters of the monograph describe equipment for endoscopic operations and surgical techniques. In the final chapter, the authors analyze the results of their own operations and the data of other authors, analyze the reasons for the deterioration of treatment outcomes and the radicality of hematoma removal.
