The book tells about the life of the Monk Zosima (Verkhovsky) – a monk, a silent ascetic, the founder of two women’s monasteries.

The amazing events of the past of the Trinity-Odigitrievsky Monastery and the bright pages of the present, inextricably linked with those , who helped his spiritual development, and those who took care of him financially. “Women’s Hermitage of Zosimova” is not just a monastic chronicle, but a historical study with detailed comments, where every fact, description, information is confirmed by archival documents of the corresponding years. The book introduces the reader to the precious spiritual heritage of the Trinity-Odigitrievskaya monastery near Naro-Fominsk (now the stauropegial monastery of Moscow): memorable dates and events, as well as the fate of the sisters who suffered persecution in the 20th century. The second edition includes “corrections” caused by the new canonization of the two new martyrs from the Zosima Hermitage, which occurred after the first edition of the book. The “addition” is the chapter “A new stage in the life of the Trinity-Odigitrievsky Monastery” about the events of the last five years, starting in 2011, in connection with the installation of a new abbess in the monastery.
