The book is dedicated to discussing the problems of forming a new scientific worldview, in which the primacy of the spirit will be affirmed and evolution will be understood as a process of gradual disclosure of the spiritual potential of everything that exists. Using his many years of experience in scientific work in the field of physical and chemical biology, the author makes an attempt to contribute to the construction of the foundations of a new science, focusing on the Sources of Higher Knowledge – the works of H. P. Blavatsky and the books of the Teaching of Living Ethics, or Agni Yoga.
.The issues that are essential for the practice of scientific work are considered: the choice and features of perception of the Source, the possibility of expanding concepts and changing research methodology, the problem of reductionism, which affirms a mechanistic approach in scientific research. The result of the author’s attempts to overcome the limitations of the mechanistic vision of living nature were the “three images of Life” described in the book, reflecting the significance of oscillatory processes, electromagnetic fields (EMF) and the interconnection of all bodies of the Universe. The combination of these three “images” when considering objects of living nature makes it possible to approach a new, more comprehensive scientific understanding of the essence of life and the structure of living beings. Practical applications of such an expanded view in experimental studies of unusual phenomena are given – the effects of homeopathic remedies in high dilutions, non-thermal effects of weak EMFs and some paranormal phenomena.
