There she finds herself in the midst of unpredictable and extremely dangerous events, and faces an insidious criminal who uses the latest achievements of science and technology for his own purposes. In “The Danube Pilot,” the main character Sergei Ladko, a Bulgarian fighter for the liberation of his homeland from the Ottoman yoke, descends the Danube by boat from the upper reaches to the very mouth and experiences dangerous adventures along the way, from which he emerges victorious.
