No book can teach us more essential truths than the Gospels. Some will say that they read them and did not find anything particularly important in them, which is why they seek their path in Eastern religions and philosophies. Well, it’s simply because they didn’t understand anything about the immeasurable wisdom of the Gospels. Of course, I know that they are fed up with familiar texts and want to change their food a little. But it is dangerous to go looking for this food in teachings that do not correspond to their structure and mentality. Some Westerners have studied and applied these teachings to their advantage, but they are few.

It is the teaching of the Gospels that is intended for us Westerners. Because you have not studied it deeply or meditated on it, you are looking for something else, but for what purpose? And one should not think that the sages and spiritual Masters of India feel so happy and proud to see all these Christians neglecting their religion in order to dress up as yogis, mutter a few Sanskrit words and pronounce mantras while burning sticks of incense. This only proves that they love the exotic, but not the simple truth. Believe me, Christians can find in the Bible and the many works inspired by it everything they need to flourish spiritually.
