The author of this book is one of the oldest workers in the Soviet book publishing industry, a man who devoted much of his experience and all his spiritual energy to the art of books. Alyansky is also known as the organizer of the Alkonost publishing house, with whose brand Blok’s illustrated poem “The Twelve” was first published in 1918.
