The monograph outlines the most pressing issues in the diagnosis and treatment of intussusception in children. Data on the history of the issue, classification of the disease, and diagnostic algorithm are presented. The most common errors in the diagnosis of this disease in children are considered, the choice of treatment tactics is substantiated in detail on the basis of an experimental study of the safety of conservative treatment of intussusception in pediatric practice. Methods of conservative treatment of this condition in children are described, and an analysis of our own practical results of their use is presented. The issues of surgical treatment of intussusception in children are separately considered, and an economic comparison of methods for treating this condition is provided.
