Belyaev Alexander Romanovich: Star of the CEC

Young biologist Leonid Artemyev suddenly finds himself in the midst of incredible events: from the usual Leningrad he goes to the Pamirs, and from there straight into space! Scientific laboratories are located on the artificial Earth satellite, named KEC in honor of the pioneer of rocket science K. E. Tsiolkovsky. Scientists here are busy with the most bizarre work – growing giant vegetables using transformed solar energy, creating semi-intelligent hybrid animals, and many other incredible, truly wonderful experiments.

Молодой биолог Леонид Артемьев неожиданно оказывается в гуще невероятных событий: из привычного Ленинграда он отправляется на Памир, а оттуда – прямо в космос! На искусственном спутнике Земли, названном КЭЦ в честь пионера ракетостроения К. Э. Циолковского расположены научные лаборатории. Ученые здесь заняты самой причудливой работой – выращивание гигантских овощей с помощью преображенной солнечной энергии, создание полуразумных животных–гибридов, и многими другими, невероятными, поистине чудесными опытами.
